Puerto Princesa Subterranean River North Park

Subterranean River North Park is located about 80 km. North of Puerto Princesa City, Palawan. The river is called Puerto Princesa underground river, bordered by St. Paul Bay to the North and Babuyan river to the east. The entrance to the river is a boat ride from the town Sabang.

In 2010, environmentalist and geologist discovered that the underground river has a second floor which means that there are small waterfalls inside the cave. A cave dome which measures 300m (980ft) above the underground river. They found rock formation, large bats and marine creatures. Deep cave and more river channels are found also.

Underground river cave is more than 24 kilometers long and contains 8.3 km. Long underground section of Cabayugan river. The river is navigable by boat up to 4.3 km. In from the sea. The lower portion of the river is up to 6 km. from the sea. Puerto Princesa river was reported to be the longest underground river in the world in 2007.
