garlic is not only grown for culinary purposes but for medicinal usage as well. It is actually a well-known herb in the garden.

Some of its medicinal use are to kill worms from the body, prevents spasms, stimulates flow of saliva, helps in digestion and it is also a remedy for hypertension.
It can be used in chronic bronchitis, pneumonia, tuberculosis, asthma and other respiratory ailments.

Garlic also acts as a natural antibiotic and prevents cancer. According to scientific studies, the consumption of garlic can reduce cholesterol level in the body.
